Custom Dop Kit, Travel Kit for Toiletries and Accessories
We offer an array of Dop (or travel) kits for men and women
A simple version made of pre finished leather starts about $120
The fully tooled, hand stitched, and hand dyed example in the photo would be $250
Materials included:
- Exterior: Veg Tan, 2-5oz Cow hide, depending on the project
- Other materials available for exterior: Vary by project and intended use
- Interior: (if lined) Veg Tan, Pig - an exceptionally tough, thin, leather
The amount of detail required for the tooling and custom dying of a project varies by design. Quotes are based on a combination of the cost of materials, plus the time needed to complete the artwork.

I love the look of riveted bags and wallets; those that boast minimal stitching and are simply classy in a rustic and rugged way...
So, when I was asked for a Dop Kit...I was excited to let me creativity run a little rampant! (And...even MORE excited when my client was delighted with my design proposal!)
A classy twist on the 'traditional' vessel for toiletries and travel accessories; this custom Lone Horse Leather design brings Old World class to current day needs and product advancements.
My customer, a huge Harry Potter fan, requested a small personalization; the crest for his Harry Potter House. After some research to figure out which (of the many) Ravenclaw Crests were "right", my artwork was approved and I was off and running!
The interior is fully lined with 1 oz Veg tan, with snap- adjustable pockets up each long side of the case.
The adjustable straps secure the kit with a variable height of about 4" to about 6", depending on the amount of gear you need to bring - and can, of course, be more customized to meet your personal needs.
The Interior Measurements are 10" long x 4.5" deep
Each piece was hand cut, fitted, dyed, and hand finished. All rivets are set by hand.
